Terms & Conditions
- Scope of Services
Cavendish Imaging (hereinafter “the Provider”) services and products aim at assisting professionals and patients in diagnosis and treatment planning. The Provider is not providing and is not responsible for providing any interpretation of images or clinical service such as diagnosis or treatment.
- All services are provided on an “as is” basis, without any warranties of any kind—whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise—including, without limitation, any warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. The Provider does not guarantee the sufficiency, suitability, accuracy, completeness, or compatibility of any data, reports, or images with the referrer’s systems. All results must be independently reviewed and verified by a qualified medical professional prior to use, including comparison with the original medical images.
- Clinical Responsibility
The Provider does not offer medical interpretation, diagnosis, or treatment planning. Any radiology report or analysis ordered through the Provider are issued under the named Radiologist’s professional responsibility, not under the Provider’s liability. Under IR(ME)R 2000 and SI 478 of 2002, clinical justification must be provided for each xray-based examination: it is the referrer’s responsibility to supply in their referral the information necessary for the justification process to happen. Referral forms are available for this purpose. Please make sure that the same information is supplied if you are using your own headed-paper instead of a referral form.
- Referral Acceptance
The Provider accepts referrals from registered practitioners only. The Provider reserves the right to decline referrals in cases of excessive workload, equipment malfunction, or other operational constraints.
- Quality and Limitations
While the Provider endeavors to deliver the highest quality results, it will not accept liability for:
- Incorrect or incomplete details on booking/referral forms.
- Inadequate or inappropriate patient preparation affecting image quality.
- Incompatibility of computer-readable images with the recipient’s system.
- Consequential losses arising from delays or cancellations, including but not limited to equipment malfunction, staff illness, late or non-payment, non-receipt of booking forms, or workload pressures.
- Turnaround and Scheduling
The Provider endeavors to schedule and see patients at their appointed times and to dispatch images promptly. However, delays or cancellations may occur due to equipment failure, staffing issues, or workload.
Timelines for radiology reports, data conversions, or other services are not guaranteed unless explicitly agreed in writing in advance. Urgent services must be notified at least one full working day before the patient’s appointment.
- Patient Consultations
Referrers are advised not to schedule patient consultations based on imaging results until the final images or reports have been received, to avoid inconvenience caused by potential delays.
- Payments and Cancellations
- Self-paying patients must settle their accounts on the day of service. Failure to do so may delay the processing and delivery of results.
- Missed or cancelled appointments with less than one full working day’s notice will incur a non-refundable £50 charge, payable before a new appointment can be booked. Alternatively, the walk-in service at the Harley Street branch can be used, Mon-Fri between 11am and 4pm. The other branches do not offer a walk-in service.
- The Provider is not liable for disputes between patients and insurers, referrers, or third parties responsible for payment. In case of non-payment within 3 months of service, the patient remains responsible for the balance.
- For referrers, standard payment terms are 14 days, with debt recovery procedures applied to late accounts.
